NasoCheck Comfort

The NasoCheck Comfort antigen rapid test from Lepu Medical is approved for self-testing under temporary special approval of the Bfarm (GZ: 5640-S-104/21).
Lepu’s nasal test for Covid-19 diagnosis is easier to perform than an ordinary rapid test that requires a swab from the posterior pharyngeal cavity. In Austria, the LEPU Nasocheck is already widely used as a self-test, even by students. It is sufficient to take a sample from the anterior nasal cavity. Therefore, this test is very suitable for self-testing. It is neither unpleasant nor painful, so as the name suggests comfortable.
Only a sampling with the swab in the anterior nasal cavity is required. To do this, the swab is inserted 1-2 cm into each nostril and turned five times. A test tube is not needed. The swab is inserted directly into the test card. There, the buffer solution is dripped onto the swab and the test card is closed. The result is determined after 15 minutes and is displayed on the test card.
The sensitivity is 92 %, the specificity is over 99 %. Nevertheless, it can be determined quite reliably whether there is a risk of infection for other people.
The test is over-the-counter and may be purchased by private individuals.
Due to the ease of use, we also recommend this test for companies. For example, every employee can test themselves on a daily basis. Extra staff does not need to be provided for this corona test.
